Timothy Lee Wells

Timothy Lee Wells, age 61 of 835 Sample Road, Wirtz, VA died Friday, May 10, 2024.  Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mabel Wells; grandparents; Horace and Dorris Wells, Harp and Dova Stansberry; in-laws, David and Lucille Garret.

Tim worked in the family business at Jack Garst Agency for over 40 years. His passion was truck driving and delivering feed to local farmers.  Tim was an avid outdoorsman and had many trophy mounts and fishing citations.  He had a side kick name Bucky, his dog of 22 years.  Bucky traveled with Tim everywhere, including delivering feed, farming, and fishing trips.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Davia; stepchildren, Jamie (Eric) Costa and Greg (Malinda) Flora; step-grandchildren, Bronson and Blake Costa, and Faith Flora; brothers, Stan (Debbie) Wells, Jeff (Sheila) Wells and Mike (Amy) Wells; sister-in-law, Belinda (John) Faulkner; nephews, Kullen and Jordan Wells; nieces, Katie and Emily Wells, Katie (Shannon) Gilmore and Cara (Brandon) Ward; great nieces and nephew, Mary and Taylor Ward, and Tag Gilmore; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Special thanks to Mitch Cobbs and his wife Sherry, also to a special nurse Anna Walkup for their assistance in Tim’s final days.

Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
