Tom Hardy Poindexter

Tom Hardy Poindexter, age 71 of Glade Hill passed away Friday, June 4, 2010. He was retired from construction work and farming. He was born August 24, 1938 a son of the late Clair and Daisy Poindexter. Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Linda Poindexter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene P. Thomas, Leverne and Wayne Blankenship, Nancy and Michael Adkins; and several loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Graveside services will be conducted from the Smith-Blankenship Family Cemetery 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Judith Short officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crafts United Methodist Church c/o Danna Hayes, Treas. 4367 Webster Road, Glade Hill, Virginia 24092. His family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Flora Funeral & Cremation Service, Rocky Mount.
