Velma Altice Montgomery

Velma Altice Montgomery went to her heavenly home on Friday, June 19, 2015. She was born September 10, 1917 to the late Silas and Mary Perdue Altice. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy L. Montgomery, her siblings, Levi (Helen) Altice, Reva (Henry) Thurman, Haseltine (James) Hudson, Gillie (Marvin) Johnson, Gladys and her husbands, (John Boone), (Roy Sink), one infant grand-daughter and one great grand-daughter.
Surviving are her children, Margie (Kenneth) Garber, Gerald (Martha) Montgomery, Norman (Deborah) Montgomery, Melvin Montgomery, Etta (Gary) Montgomery; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
Her family will receive friends from 2-5 and 6-9 PM, Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Flora Funeral Home, Rocky Mount. The funeral will be held at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Jubal Early Highway, Boones Mill, on Monday June 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.. A viewing will be held one hour before service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
