Vera Shively Ingram, age 88 of Ferrum, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. She was born August 13, 1919 to the late William H. and Beulah Spencer Shively. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Archie Ingram and one great-great granddaughter. She was a faithful Christian for many years and a devoted member of the House of Prayer in Floyd. She is survived by her daughter Jeanette and Garland Hall of Bassett; son Rev. John and Dorothy Ingram of Stanton, Alabama; sisters-in-law Mary Shively and Louise Ingram; grandchildren, Rev. Richard and Sharon Hall, Rhonda and Robbie Hartsock, Lee and Tonja Hall, Tracey and Dan Osborne, John and Sandra Ingram; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven nieces; seven nephews. She was well loved by her family, friends and community. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 10:00 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Richard Hall, Rev. Joseph Ashby and Rev. William Preskitt officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
