Victor H. Ledbetter

Victor H. Ledbetter, 81, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Franklin Health and Rehab. He was born March 19, 1941, in Siler City, North Carolina, the son of William F. and Pearl E. Ledbetter.

Victor graduated from Franklin County High School in 1959. Following graduation, he attended welding school and worked as a welder in North Carolina, Florida, the Caribbean, Maryland, and Virginia. Victor loved welding and was regarded as one of the best master welders in the area. Victor met Alice Ledbetter at Blueberry Hill Restaurant in Roanoke, Virginia in 1992. They were married on July 30, 1994, at Smith Mountain Lake. They were happily married for 28 years. Victor loved going to church and volunteered on mission trips to South Dakota and Tennessee. Victor never met a stranger and was always willing to help others if he was able.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Gerthy Ledbetter and Paul Ledbetter. Surviving in addition to his wife, Alice R. Ledbetter; are his son, Timothy Ledbetter and Kate of Maine; and grandson, Michael Ledbetter; his daughter, Amy Jacobsen and husband Eddie of Florida; one brother, Morris B. Ledbetter and Cheta Holsclaw of Ferrum, Virginia; his nephew, Morris W. Ledbetter; and his niece, Suzette M. Young; other children include, Todd Reynolds and wife Rashelle, Eric Reynolds and Teresa; other grandchildren include Harrison Reynolds, Ethan Reynolds, Patrick Reynolds, and Colten Reynolds; many other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Flora Funeral Chapel. His family will receive friends one hour prior at 2 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
