Violet Hall Perdue slipped peacefully into her heavenly father’s hands on Sunday, November 14, 2010 with her children at her bedside. After a courageous battle of cancer (lymphoma) she is no longer suffering now that she has entered the gates of heaven where she now has a brand new heavenly body to be reunited with the love of her life her husband, Wayne Perdue of 44 years they are now together again. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist church. Along with her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Ella Barbour Hall; two sisters, Bunny Hundley and Darnell Garrett; one brother, Terry Michael Hall. She was also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents along with many other special family members. She is survived by three children, Tammie and (Rick) Witcher, Regina Robertson, and Kevin Perdue all of Rocky Mount. She is survived by five grandchildren, Brandi and (Gene) Williams of Rocky Mount, Kayli Perdue of Roanoke, Gregory Brock Hall, Bryce, Quinton Witcher all of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Williams, Evan Brock Hall, Alyssa Cheyenne Williams all of Rocky Mount, Kylie Lanae Hale of Roanoke. She is also survived by a very special niece, Mary Beth Erving of Eden, NC; and a very special nephew, Steve Hundley of Winston Salem, NC. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Bobby and Sandra Hall, Witchell and Linda Hall, Rita and Glenwood Hall, Patsy and Larry Morris, Sue and John Altice, Dean Hubbard; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Perdue of Martinsville, John Oliver Perdue of Florida, and Frances Brown of Redwood. She is also survived by many special friends in Christ from Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Wednesday with Dr. Stan Parris and Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at her final resting place in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 110 Hilltop Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
