Virginia Booth Boone, age 92 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, July 27, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, E. Glenn Boone; infant son Donald Boone and son Jimmie Boone; one granddaughter; three great-grandsons; one sister; and four brothers.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her sons, Larry and Barb Boone, G. Ray Boone, Garey and Marilyn Boone, daughters-in-law, Rebecca Boone and Jean Boone; her daughters, Judy and David Layman, Susan and Glenn Hubbard; 25 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen and John Price; sister, Opal Wray; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Booth and Catherine Booth; special friend, Yolonda Miller.
A special thanks to Mary Kirk and the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be conducted from Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church 10 a.m. Wednesday; July 30, 2008 officiated by the Brethren. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family requests flowers be omitted and memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice of Roanoke or Franklin County Rescue Squad.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
