Virginia Bray Elliott, age 84, of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007. She was born in Halifax County, VA.
She and her husband moved to Radford where he was employed. In the 1970’s they moved to Rocky Mount, VA where she resided. Mrs. Elliott was a seamstress and did alterations in her home. She was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law James (Jim) and Patsy B. Elliott; one granddaughter Cindy and Robert Pagans; one grandson Jamie and Angie Elliott; five great-grandchildren Ben, TJ, Trevor, Jacob, and Cody; one sister-in-law Rosa Lee Bray, South Boston, VA; one step granddaughter Sabrina Turner; one step great-grandson Devin. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for children, c/o Kazim Shriners Temple, 628 W. Campbell Ave., Roanoke, VA 24016.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday from Millstone Baptist Church Cemetery in Halifax County with Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount, Va.
