Virginia Rigney Foley

Virginia Rigney Foley, age 80 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born August 25, 1931 a daughter of the late Sam and Lillie Hodges Rigney. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Wayne Rigney, Buster Rigney and Peanut Rigney; brothers-in-law, Raymond Foley and Edger Tosh. Surviving are her husband, Roy Alvin Foley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Sharon Foley, Elbert and Sheila Foley; six grandchildren, Scott and Katrina Foley, Lorrie Cole, Melissa and Brad Anderson, Rebecca and Michael Yopp, Dulcie Wright, Chance and Sarah Foley; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Sam Sydney and Mary Rigney, Clyde Rigney, Cleatis Rigney, Nancy Thompson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Foley and Mildred Tosh; many special nieces and nephews. Also special friends, Betty and Bonnie Dent who were like daughters. Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Fork Church of the Brethren 2 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Rigney Family Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Henry Fork Church of the Brethren Building Fund. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Henry Fork Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
