Virginia joined her Lord on January 23, 2013. She was born in Union Hall, Virginia in Franklin County. She is survived by Lloyd Hodges, a loving husband of 59 years. They owned and operated Lloyd Hodges Garage together for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, William Gordon and Mabel Fralin; one brother, Clarence Fralin; and one sister, Marie Shively; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Angie Hodges. Virginia is also survived by a sister, Margie and Ralph Akers of Rocky Mount; one brother-in-law, Curtis Shively; one niece, Linda and Gary Griffith of Roanoke; and one nephew, Ricky and Sarah Fralin of Goodview, Virginia; several great-nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Virginia was a long time member of Mount Ivy Christian Church. She was a successful artist whose paintings won many awards. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 with Steve Pasley, Minister officiating. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends and family will gather 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Flora Funeral home. The family will also receive friends at the home of Margie and Ralph Akers, 10 Oxford Circle, Rocky Mount, Virginia.
