Virginia Meeks Gibson

Virginia Meeks Gibson, age 78 of Penhook died Friday, April 9, 2010. She was born December 6, 1931 a daughter of the late Clay and Velvie Meeks. She retired from DuPont in 1985 with 35 years of service and was a member of Forrest Hill Christian Church. Surviving are her children, Ronnie Meeks of Penhook, Carolyn and Michael Oakes of Cincinnati, OH, Buddy and Freda Gibson of Penhook; sisters, Betty Mabry of Penhook, Marie and Carl Bousman of Penhook, Kitty Plybon of Snow Creek; brother, Eddie Meeks of Penhook; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Forrest Hill Christian Church 11 a.m. Monday with Minister Ted Clifton officiating. Interment will follow in the Meeks Family Cemetery at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forrest Hill Christian Church, 13185 Snow Creek Road, Penhook Va. 24137.
