Virginia Pauline Holcomb

Virginia Pauline Holcomb age 85 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday August 10, 2009 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was a retired Seamstress from Bristol manufacturing and a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing, flowers and gardening. Mrs. Holcomb was of the Brethren faith. She was born December 14, 1923 a daughter of the late George W. and Eula Hodges. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Leonard Holcomb.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Blaine and Elizabeth Holcomb, Mark and Kim Holcomb; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Billy Stump, Bonnie Reynolds, Rhonda and Pete Jones; grandchildren, Darryl Holcomb, Timothy Holcomb, Teresa Sanders, Melissa Ogburn; step-grandchildren, Alyssa Glasser , Samantha Moore and Crystal Tracey; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth English; brother and sister-in-law, Roy Dayton and Frances Hodges; sisters-in-law, Peggy Hodges and Jean Linkous; brother-in-law, Raymond Holcomb; several nieces and nephews;
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday August, 13, 2009 from Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 5-8 pm Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount. www.florafuneralservice.com
