Virginia Hill Jones, age 81 of Rocky Mount died Monday, March 12, 2007 at her home.
She was born September 19, 1925 a daughter of the late Buford and Nelthia Jones Hill.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Casey Jones; three daughters, Janet Jones, Diane Brubaker and Sandra LaPrade; four brothers.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Henry and Sarah Jones, David Jones, Rocky Mount; daughter and sons-in-law, Brenda and Eldon Bowman, Hardy, Lewis Brubaker, Doug and Judy LaPrade, Rocky Mount; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 special children; sisters, Vielda Jones, Roanoke, JoAnna and Harry Austin, Floyd; brother Clarence (Buddy) Hill, Roanoke; sisters-in-law, Gladys Hill, Roanoke and Evelyn Yancy, NC; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted from Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Byron Snapp officiating.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday with her family receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
