Virginia Eloise Meador

Virginia Eloise Meador, age 95 0f Wirtz passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at her residence. She was born October 2, 1926, a daughter of the late Promise and Flossie Pruett; also preceded in death by her husband, Percy ”Pete” Meador; son Eddie Meador; daughter Sue Etter; granddaughter Kim Meador, Surviving are her children, Gloria Scott and husband Frankie, Donald Meador, Steven Meador, Kenneth Meador and wife Debbie, Penny Prillaman and husband Eddy, Rodney Meador and wife Mandy; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great -great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Virginia was retired from Eli Lilly with 28 years of service. She was also a member of Burnt Chimney United Methodist Church and the UMW for many years. Canning and gardening were activities that she enjoyed. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be conducted at Burnt Chimney United Methodist Church, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, with Rev. Jeff White officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
