Virginia A. Neuhs

Virginia A. Neuhs, age 92 of Boones Mill, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. She was born March 30, 1925 in Amsterdam, NY to the late George and Eva Mae Covey. “Ginny” as she was known to all her friends loved bright sunny days working in her flower gardens. People came from around the county to see her beautifully arranged beds. She lived with her devoted husband, F.J. Neuhs for 61 years. They raised four children together and were parted by his death on May 19, 2007. Virginia was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy, Elmira, Viola and Charlene. Surviving are her youngest brother, George; sons, Richard Neuhs and wife Jackie, Larry Neuhs, David Neuhs; daughter, Robin Neuhs and her companion Charley; grandchildren, Sandra Craft and husband Carl, Amy Neuhs, Mike Neuhs and sweetheart Samantha, Summer Pate and husband James, Janie Morton, Tracy St.Clair and Hunter Neuhs; great-grandchildren, David, Zachary, Jenna, Autumn, Nate, Steven and Kyndal Pate, Caleb and Logan Craft. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem with Chaplain Gary Kingery officiating. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
