Vivian Gilliam Rasnic, age 90 of Rocky Mount, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Brenda Parsons, and son-in-law, Ron Parsons, both of whom were devoted to assisting her during her long-term battle with Alzheimer's Disease and always by her side. Born on June 11, 1932, Vivian led a full and blessed life, and was loved with unending devotion. Vivian spent a vast majority of her life as a teacher's aide at Stickleyville Elementary School, as well as farming with her husband and family, which she enjoyed greatly. Vivian is survived by her children, Brenda Parsons (Ronald), Clifford Rasnic (Janice), Gary Rasnic (Trish), and their children, respectively: Clint (Amy) Parsons, Rebecca Parsons, Melissa (Nathan) Bradley, Michael Rasnic, Eric Rasnic and Robert Rasnic. Vivian was a member of Wallens Creek Covenant Church and of Christian faith. On June 11th, 2023, at 1:30 pm, the family of Vivian G. Rasnic is having a Celebration of Life in her memory. It will be at Vivian’s home, “The Old Rasnic Home Place” in the Rasnic Family Graveyard. Pastor Clint will be officiating the service. Anyone wanting to attend is more than welcome and, if you have a picture of Vivian you would like to share, feel free to bring it and pin it to a memory board. We will be having Vivian’s favorite foods and drinks to celebrate her birthday after the service.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Stickleyville Community Center. Mom loved this school very much and was so pleased it was being used for something positive or you can donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her memory.
