Wade Mahlon Howell

Wade Mahlon Howell, age 81 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab. He was born March 16, 1943 to the late Wade Hampton Howell and Maude Lawless Howell. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Lou L. Howell; and his half-brother, Gary Howell. Mahlon graduated from Bassett High School (class of 1961). He worked at Sprint Telephone Co. where he retired after 46 years of service. Surviving are his daughter, Melanie H. Campbell of Galax, VA; two granddaughters, Gina A. Wyatt of Rocky Mount and Emily F. Campbell of Pinnacle, NC; along with several uncles and cousins. Services will be private at a later date.
