Walter G. Amos, Jr.

Walter G. Amos, Jr., age 78 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, July 28, 2022. He was born August 22, 1943 a son of the late Walter G. Amos, Sr. and Mamie Hodges Amos. Surviving are his wife Betty Amos; children, Tommy Amos and wife Melissa, Sherri Thompson and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Brian Thompson, Savannah Amos, Haley Thompson, Brooke Amos, Courtney Amos, Lakyn Thompson; brother, Lewis Amos and wife Donna; many nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to name; and special friends, Richard Hodges, Clifford Pagans, Terry Ivan Hodges and many more. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 4 p.m. Sunday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges-Lynch Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
