Waymon Morgan Wilson, 80 years of age of Rocky Mount went home to be with the Lord and his wife, Kay, of 52 years on April 18, 2014. He was born in Ohio and served two years in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and 20 years in the Air Force with 18 months spent in Vietnam, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He served as Chief of Anesthesia at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital from 1986 until he retired in September of 1996. He is survived by his three children, Karen Fry (Doug), David Wilson, and Stephen Wilson; grandson, Adam Fry (Erica); and his brother, Charles Wilson (Joyce). His legacy was the love given to his family and the gift of healing delivered to his patients with kindness, compassion, and love. Funeral services will be conducted from Living Waters Assembly of God 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Roger Jones officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
