Wayne Franklin Dowdy, age 78 of Boones Mill passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Christine Wertz Dowdy; and sister, Sharon Dowdy. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Sturgeon Dowdy; son, Michael Dowdy (Oksoon); and brother, Mark Dowdy. Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
