Wayne Roland Thompson, Sr.

Wayne Roland Thompson, Sr., age 78 of Ferrum, VA, formerly of Lisbon, CT, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Sunday, September 17, 2023. He was born in Norwich, CT, son of the late Verne and Rita Thompson. Wayne retired from Rossi Corporation Higganum, CT after many years of service. Wayne married his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth B. Walker Thompson on June 15, 1963 in Norwich, CT who survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Christine Thompson; son, Wayne R. Thompson Jr. and wife Sandi Thompson; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Crossroads Ruritan Club, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 with Pastor Jimmy Calhoun officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the M.S. foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
