Whitt Stevens Powell

Whitt Stevens Powell, age 69 of Hardy, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garnett and Ruth Powell; sister, Gloria Woodson; and brother, Larry Powell. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Lona Louise Powell; two daughters, Stephanie Nicole Powell and Samantha Louise Lewis; two granddaughters, Gia Crawford and Stella Webster; two brothers, Garnett Powell Jr. and Warren Powell. Whitt enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks, fishing and the sport of NASCAR. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake.
