William A. Lane, Sr.

William A. Lane Sr., age 84 of Perryville, MO died August 11, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Roanoke, VA April 8, 1926 son of the late William Matthew Lane and Laura (Price) (Lane) Gillespie. He and Edith Mona "Trudy" Lane were married on August 30, 1958. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2005. Survivors include two sons and a daughter, William A. "Bill" Lane Jr. of Defiance, MO, Patricia Robertson of Roanoke and Michael Lane of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and his beloved cat Pepper. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and his beloved cat Missy. Funeral services were held at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, MO on Saturday, August 14 at Noon. Burial was in the Cedar Fork Cemetery with military graveside service provided by American Legion Post 133 and MO Delta Team.
