William Jay "Bill" Hodges, Sr.

William Jay “Bill” Hodges, Sr., age 74 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, March 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie R. Hodges and Margaret Henry; son, William Jay Hodges II; and father-in-law, Henry Haywood Anderson. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Hodges; children, Stacy Hodges, Latonya Trotter; grandchildren, Lyric and C.J. Trotter; and brothers, Charlie T. Hodges and Ricky Hodges. Graveside services will be conducted from the Anderson Family Cemetery 2 p.m. Tuesday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
