William Grady Bollings, age 77 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his home. Born on October 3, 1935 to the late Maston and Edna Robertson Bollings, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Basil Bollings. He served his country in the United States Army. Grady retired from Worley Ready Mix after 40 years of service and was a member of Mt. Ivy Baptist Church and attended Beulah Baptist Church for many years. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Faye Worley Bollings; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Julie Bollings; daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and Robert Arrington; granddaughters, Rachel and Abby Arrington; step- grandson, Josh Arrington; sisters and brother-in-law, Christene Kellam of Collinsville, Mabel Barbour of Martinsville, Margaret (Bobby) Todd of Martinsville; brother and sister-in-law, Ballard (Brenda) Bollings of Martinsville; sister-in-law, Janice Bollings of Collinsville. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his front porch rocking chair buddy "Rusty". He loved his family, granddaughters, never met a stranger and loved a good laugh. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. J. Larry Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 4220 Sontag Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
