William Haymore Brammer

William Haymore Brammer, age 74 passed away Wednesday April 30, 2014 from complications of ALS. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, I. Coy and Allie Mason Brammer and two infant brothers. Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen Foster Brammer; son, William Haymore Brammer, Jr.; sister-in-law, Jean Foster Rose; brother-in-law, William A. Rose; and many cousins. Bill was an educator and administrator with the Franklin County School System. He was Past Master of Rocky Mount Lodge #201 A.F. &A.M., served on the Board of STEP, Inc. and held several offices with the local, district and state levels of the Lions Club. Funeral services will be conducted at Rocky Mount Christian Church, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 with Rev. Matthew Ricks and Rev. Dr. James Dickerson officiating. Interment will be held Monday, May 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Mount Christian Church, 120 S. Main Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or ALS Association Development Dept., 1275 K. St., NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005.
