William "Bill" Cassell

On June 30, 2018, William G. Cassell, "Bill" of Glade Hill, Va. after a valiant fight with multiple medical problems passed away peacefully, secure in his faith, at home with his "Kat" by his side. Bill saw the possibilities of the Internet at its inception and remained in that field as a consultant in various capacities for his entire career. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Judi Cassell and infant son, Benjamin Cassell. Bill is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son, David Cassell; stepsons, Anthony Polombo, Jr, and Christopher Polombo. In addition, Bill is survived by numerous family members in the Richmond, VA and Hagerstown, MD areas. Memorial services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County or a charity of your choice. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
