William Carl Hodges

William Carl “Lovie” Hodges, age 75, of Ferrum died suddenly Sunday October 28, 2012. He was the son of the late Walker Lewis Hodges and Ada Greer Hodges, and was also preceded in death by his wife Nadine Hodges. Surviving are his children, Debora Wells (Stan), Ronnie Hodges, Sharon Hodges (Gary), Wanda Wimmer, Cindy Whitlow (Robby), Kenny Hodges (Jane), Carla Carter (Bobby); grandchildren, Melissa Whitmire (Lynn), Ferris Kort (Richie), Lindsey McPherson (Josh), Jessica Wimmer, Amee Hodges, Hailey Carter, Amber Whitlow, Carly Carter, Kullen Wells; great-grandson, Dylan Whitmire; sisters, Shelby Nichols (Bud), Betty Hayes, Rosemary Williams (Bob); brothers, Gordon Hodges and Marshall Hodges (Judy); sister-in-law and husband, Liz McPherson (Dan).

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Beckner Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
