William James Mills Iii

William James (Jim) Mills, III passed away on November 29, 2013. He was born on December 12, 1946, to the late William James Mills, II and Alice Kent Mills. He is survived by his son Matt, his sisters Sara and Lynn, and his brother Bob. Jim will be remembered for the loyalty and unconditional acceptance he offered family and friends. His keen sense of humor and genuine concern for others were evident to those around him. Showing courage and selflessness in overcoming adversity, Jim had a rare gift for focusing only on the blessings in his life and finding joy in all the positive things around him. He will be truly missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount. A private ceremony will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Great Commission Fund at Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
