William Barry Patterson

William Barry Patterson, age 57 of Boones Mill passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019. William was a devoted husband, daddy and papa. His fondest accomplishments was becoming an ordained minister. He was baptized and received the Lord in his life in November of 1993. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeraldine Rakes Patterson; brother, Randall Patterson; two nephews, Timothy Scott Patterson and Phillip McDaniel, Jr.; father and mother in-law, Levi and Lydia Mae Montgomery; brother-in-law, Lowell Montgomery; sister-in-law, Parthenia Montgomery. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lareda Patterson; his four children, Robin and John Hodges, Alicia Holland (Stacy Gravely), Dustin Patterson and Lindsey and Scott Copper; father, William Norris Patterson; brother, Timothy and Stella Patterson; sisters, Kay and Johnny Jennings, Lori and Brad Baker and Lisa and Lawrence Clark; fifteen grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Marie Montgomery, Martha Jane Montgomery, Wanita and Stephen Rutrough and Calvin and Pauline Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church at 101 Elam Lane in Boones Mill, with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. His family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the church.
