William Alfred Perdue

William Alfred "Al" Perdue age 86 of Glade Hill, passed away July 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Ruby Perdue, brothers; Roy Lee and Jim Perdue, sister; Gladys Franklin and special niece; Tammy Seamon. Surviving are his wife; Ramona G. Perdue, children; William A. Perdue, Jr. "Buzz" and daughter Kathy Showker and husband Jerry Sall, granddaughter; Kate Showker, sister; Judy and husband C.B. Reynolds and brother-in-law; Johnny Franklin, special nieces, nephews and friends. Step-daughters; Kelly Novak and husband Ray, Kimberly Salay and husband John, grandchildren; Jacob, Savannah and Evie Grace Novak, Taylor Wood, Kaleigh Wood, Cayman Davis and Matt Salay, brother-in-law; Keith Gillispie and wife DeEtta. Special thanks to Larry and Patty Toler of Red Oak Manor and to all the staff that cared for Al during his time there. A special thanks to room-mate Guy English, thanks to Flora Funeral Service and to Pastor David Long. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Glade Hill Baptist Church with Pastor David Long officiating. His family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Glade Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 6627 Colonial Turnpike, Glade Hill, Va. 24092.
