William Franklin Renick, 75 of Callaway passed away Monday, April 4, 2011. He was born January 18, 1936 a son of the late John Stafford and Elizabeth Jamison Renick. He will be remembered for his work with North American Housing, Kroger’s and as a self-employed plumber. He was a life long member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon and Elder, he was also a member of the Callaway Volunteer Fire Department and chairman for Relay for Life. Billy was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Feazelle Renick; daughter, Gail Renick; sister, Joanne Pagans; brother-in-law, Ed Pagans; nephew, Chuck Pagans.
Surviving are his wife Mary Lou Renick; step-son, Bill Pensy and wife Melissa; step-daughter, Kathy Maples and husband Jon; step-grandchildren, Kristina, Lydia, Mason, Kelsey, Talia, Jacob and Sabastian; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Clay Rakes; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Bev Renick; mother-in-law, Shirley Feazelle; brothers-in-law and sisters–in-law, Charles Mason, Mark and Toni Mason, Julie and Bill Slingluff; the Feazelle family, a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday from Piedmont Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Codington officiating. Interment will follow in the Renick Family Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or Relay for Life. His family will receive friends 5-8 pm Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
