William John Syminink, Sr. age 87 of Penhook died Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Surviving are his wife, Ann of the home; children, Dorothy Prickett (Jay Barry), William Syminink (Kathy), Agnes Forte (Wade); grandchildren, Alyssa Peterson (Steve), Wade Forte (Lindsi), Sonia Prickett, Jennifer Forte, Jessica Prickett (George DeFeo), Cheryl Reynolds (Jack), Amanda Negron and Luis Negron; great-grandchildren, Riley Negron, Luis Negron; special friends, Loretta and John Stagen; best buddy, Pee Wee. Mr. Syminink served in the 85th Division, Sea Bee Branch of the United States Navy. He loved boating, fishing and camping. He lived in New Jersey before moving to Virginia four years ago where he said he was in Heaven. He enjoyed watching the sunsets, spending time with his family and wife Ann of 66 years, and playing with his great-grandchildren. The family expresses their appreciation to the Doctors and nursing staff of Carilion Hospital and Hospice services for the special care they provided. Services will be held at a later date.
