William Amos Whitlow

William Amos Whitlow, age 73 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and an employee of Old Dominion Truck Releasing. He loved sawmilling, woodworking and being busy always working with his hands. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Dolly Whitlow; brother, James Whitlow; and sister, Bertha Furrow. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Beeghly Whitlow; son, Daniel Whitlow (Tammy); daughter, Lorie Larrabee (Edward); grandchildren, Tracy Whitlow, Tommy and Travis Larrabee; sister, Joyce Nelson; mother-in-law, Mary Beeghly; in-laws, Donnie Beeghly, Jean Ellis, Marty Rice and Ruth Gates; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Dr. William Shively and Rev. Bob Andrews officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 915, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
