William Edward Wilhelm

William Edward (Bill) Wilhelm, age 73 of Ferrum, Va., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Bill served in the Navy three years aboard the USS Hornet. He retired in 1997 from Stroh’s Brewery after 28 years of service. Bill is survived by his wife of 30 years, Georgie Shepherd Wilhelm, Ferrum, VA; two sons, Billy Wilhelm and his wife Christina, and Tim Wilhelm; and daughter, Crystal Woodbury; a brother, Wayne Wilhelm and his wife Linda; sister, Audrey Rothrock; sister, Juanita Knight and her husband Ray; several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Barney Edward Wilhelm and Ann Ardelia Fulp Wilhelm. Bill is also survived by his Navy buddy of 57 years Jack Boozer and his wife Alice of Arcadia, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the charity of your choice in Bill’s name.
