Wilmer C. Austin

Wilmer C. Austin, age 93 of Ferrum, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara B. Austin on September 27, 2008. Surviving are his children, Marie Austin, Donnie and Rachel Austin; grandchildren, Benjamin Austin, Micah and Chasity Austin, Roseann and Michael Peters, Laura and Jesse Sowers; and eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
