Wilmer Floyd Goad, Jr.

Wilmer Floyd Goad, Jr. departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2019. He was born in Franklin County on May 13, 1953 to Mr. Floyd W. Goad and the late Iretha F. Goad. Preceding him in death were four brothers: Freddie Murray, James Goad, Kenneth Goad and Christopher Goad. He grew up and attended schools in Franklin County. Wilmer resided for several years in Northern, VA and worked as a Framer and Deliverer of Professional Artwork. He attended Jerusalem Way of the Cross Church, Rocky Mount, VA. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Betty Goad of Rocky Mount, VA; his Father Floyd W. Goad of Union Hall, VA; four Amazing Sons - Gearld Alexander Goad and Anthony David Goad, both of Winter Springs, FL, Wilmer Floyd Goad, III of Richmond, VA and Apollo Fransicus Goad, Casselberry FL. Seven Sisters - Arvilla (Joseph) Pettie and Sylvia (Louis) Price, of Martinsville, VA; Vickie (Douglas) Webb, Debora Goad and Loretta Conner of Rocky Mount, VA; Patricia Goad of Richmond, VA. Floretta Goad of Penhook, VA. One Brother, Connal Goad of Redwood, VA and a Host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at Jerusalem Way of the Cross Church. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
