Winnie Lorraine Pate Lambert

In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Winnie Lorraine Pate Lambert, 73 of Boones Mill died Saturday, June 2, 2007.

She retired from Halmode with 32 years of service and was a 61 year member of Boones Mill Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to yard sales, making apple butter and apple pies and dancing to bluegrass music. She loved making friends, which came very easy for her as she never met a stranger, and being a friend to all. She will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends that she crossed paths with throughout her life.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virgie Pate; and brothers John and Forrest Pate.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Clifford (Buster) Lambert, Jr., Trena and Rickie Mizak, Patsy Overfelt, Henry and Loretta Lambert; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Wyatt Pate; sisters, Lillie Embrey and Ruby St. Clair; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Pate and Mary Pate.

Funeral services will be conducted from Boones Mill Baptist Church 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. James H. Steele and Rev. Pat Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Boones Mill Baptist Church, P. O. Box 230, Boones Mill, VA 24065.

The family will receive friends Monday at Boones Mill Baptist Church from 6 – 8 p.m.
