Wm. Bill Eder

Wm. Bill Eder, age 70 of Ferrum died Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was born June 7, 1945 in Cantonsville, MD, a son of the late Francis and Helen Eder and was also preceded in death by a brother, “Buck”. Bill was a United States Navy Veteran. He taught HVAC for 5 years at Maryland Technical Institute and worked at Ft. Smallwood. He retired from Army Research Laboratory in 2006. Surviving are his wife, Willie Brooks Eder; children and spouses, Heather and Mike Hylton, Billi Naylor, Tammy and Sam Hunt, Alan and Michelle Naylor; adopted daughter, Lisa M. Witt, five grandchildren, Jacob, Alexia, Aidan and Robby Naylor, Haylee Hylton; brothers, Bob (Stephanie) Eder, Buddy Eder; special niece, Natalie, special friends, Perry Brooks, Diane and Tony Bazzari, Greg Rothwell and David Long. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Danny Poff officiating. Interment will follow in Overfelt Family (919) Cemetery with Military Honors. Following interment, family and friends are invited to Boones Mill Church of the Brethren for fellowship. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Monday.
