Zachary Ian Parsons

Zachary Ian Parsons, age 17 of Boones Mill died Monday, January 23, 2012. He was a senior at Franklin County High School where he had been a member of the ROTC for four years. Surviving are his parents, Tim and Patty Parsons, Annette Byers of North Carolina; sister and fiancée, Zoe Parsons and Jason Sweet; brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Karen Parsons; grandparents, Rose Parsons of North Carolina, Shirley and Wayne Byers of North Carolina; aunts and uncles, Iris and Dillard Akers, Bonnie and Gary Hall, Shirley and Tommy David, Amanda Byers Lowe, Frank and Shelia Nichols, James Parsons, Ron Parsons, David Parsons, Jeff Parsons and Bobby Parsons; special friends, Anthony Lloyd and Chase Law; one niece and three nephews; numerous cousins and friends. A memorial service will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 6 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Planned Pethood of Franklin County, P.O. Box 2118, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. His family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
