It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zebadiah ‘Zeb’ Blaze Peery, born June 12, 2007, who left this world on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Though his time on earth was far too short, it was filled with love, faith, and a spirit that touched countless lives.
Zeb was full of life and never met a stranger. He had an old soul and was wise beyond his years, with a gift for connecting with people from all walks of life. Everyone who knew Zeb could feel how much he cared for them through his kind words and his big, heartfelt hugs. He had the biggest, brightest, and the most contagious smile that could light up any room. He could talk to anyone, often sharing his strong belief in God. His faith was at the center of his life, and he found joy in uplifting others through his words and actions.
Family meant everything to Zeb. He cherished family dinners, where laughter and love were always present. He loved anything that had him outdoors —especially hunting, fishing or just walking through the woods where he found such inner peace—he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His strong work ethic and caring nature made him truly special.
He is survived by his loving mother, Carrie Sink Kerns and stepfather, Justin Kerns; his father, John Adam Peery; siblings, Bianca Renee Sink (Josh), Jabriah Faith Peery (Noah), and Ezekial Kal-el Peery; and his nephew, Dominic Alston Williams, who held a special place in his heart. Zeb has many extended family members and friends whom he cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to WinShape Camp, a faith-based and adventure focused summer camp for children, a place that forever changed Zeb’s life. It was there he met a man who became his best friend, a true mentor, and someone he deeply respected and loved—Dr. Jesse Francis Amos who preceded him in death.
Zeb’s life, though brief, left a lasting impact on his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Fellowship Church, 12:00 Noon, Friday, April 17, 2026. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
