Zita Lousie “Zee” Sherlund

Zita Lousie Sherlund “Zee”, age 83 of New Castle, passed away at home with her family Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Weeks and Eleanor Eakin; brother, Milton Weeks; nephews, Shane and Scott Denise along with a great niece, Amber-Lee Blake English-Hodges. Zee is survived by her son, Michael and wife Shannon; grandson, Robert Sherlund; daughter, Donna Lynn; sister, Lee McCoy; niece, Sharyn Douglas; nephew, Stephen Danise; great-nephews, Ben Douglas and Sam Douglas; great-great niece and nephews, Ashlee Hodges, Andrew Zwolinski and William Robertson. Zita was a Certified Nurse Aid and also worked as a bartender and waitress. She was also a homemaker and liked to dance, crochet, draw and do bead work. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a music and dance school that moves your heart and soul. All services are private.
