Angela Joan Dudley

Angela Joan Dudley, age 57 of Glade Hill went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was born November 9, 1964 in Rocky Mount, Va. a daughter of Walter and Betty Jean Hood. Angela was a loving and devoted mother. She worked in her community as a caregiver for many years. She was loved and depended upon by many. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter “Alex” Hood; maternal grandparents, Willie Hodges (Maude); paternal grandparents, Jack Hood (Mary); brother, Barry Hood; sister, Tammy Hodges; nephew, Scott Cundiff; great-nephew, Thomas Berg. Surviving are her mother, Betty Jean Hood; two sons, Walter Dudley (Leanna) of Penhook and Otis Dudley (Josey) of Rocky Mount; two grandsons, Cameron White and Malachi Nelson; two brothers, Bobby Hood (Phyllis) of Lynchburg and Billy Hood (Shirley) of Penhook; sister, Bonnie Altice (Rickey) of Glade Hill; brother-in-law, Jimmy Dale Hodges of Rocky Mount; niece, Crystal Berg; nephews, Darrell Hodges, Brandon Altice (Kristen) and Caleb Hood; great nieces, Nicole Berg and Zoe Berg; great-nephews, Jason Altice and Jacob Altice; boyfriend, Jimbo Davis; special friends, Anita Arrington, Doodlebug Hall, Gary Hall, Marsha Bennett, Mike, Tina Jones, and many others too numerous to name. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carilion Hospice, Heartland Hospice and Centra Health. Family will be receiving visitors at the home of Bonnie and Rickey Altice at 185 Greenhouse Road Glade Hill Va. 24092. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
