James Pat "Skip" Bowles, Jr.

James Pat “Skip” Bowles, Jr., age 70 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, J.P. Bowles; and brother, Alan Dale Bowles. Surviving are his wife, Doris Hambrick Bowles; daughter, Christy Hambrick and Jose Vega; two grandchildren, Liahni and Keaston; mother, Elizabeth Bowles; sister, Patsy Dudley; brothers, Randy (Becky) Bowles, Brian (Ruth) Bowles, Bruce Bowles; special nephew, Hayden Wright; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sarah Hambrick, Danny Young, Tom Hambrick, Bonnie (Jake) Washburn, Clara (Lawrence) Dalton, P.D. (Mittie) Hambrick, Judy Brooks, Carl Hambrick, Juanita Wright and Helen Bolling; along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Skip loved working on tractors, lawn mowers and weed eaters. He worked at Lane Company for 22 years along with other various jobs. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
