Mr. Beverly Eugene Brooks

Mr. Beverly Eugene Brooks, 72 of Callaway passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Beverly was preceded in death by his mother, Nannie Ruth Richards; step-father, Hooker Richards; brother, Wallace Richards; sisters, Shirley Brown, and Ann Matthews; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ella and Charlie Hambrick. He is survived by his wife, Judy Brooks; sons, Keith Brooks, and Wayne Hodges (Rachel), daughter, Kim Florio (Brad); grandchildren, Meagan and Emily Florio, Jesse Hodges, Brianna and Alicia St. Clair; great grandchild expected in May, Gracelyn; brothers, Allen Richards (Doris), Doug Turner (Linda), Perry Brown, Jr. (Debra); sister, Barbara Holcomb (Darryl); very special nieces, my little girl Ashlee Rigney (Tim), and Jenny Lynn McAlexander (Sherman); sisters-in-law, Juanita Wright, Bonnie Washburn (Jake), Helen Bolling, Doris Bowles (Skip), Clara Dalton (Lawrence), Doris Hambrick, Sarah Hambrick; brothers-in-law, Carl Hambrick, Tom Hambrick, and P.D. Hambrick (Mittie), Walter Young; many nieces and nephews and friends.  Beverly was involved with the Outlaw Cruisers. He was also a member of the Franklin County Rescue Squad for 55 years where he served on the Board of Directors and past Captain for several years. Beverly was a former employee of the Lane Company and retired from Ferguson Land and Lumber. Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Fork Church of the Brethren 2 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
