Pauline Perdue

Mattie Pauline Perdue, age 94 of Glade Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

She was born August 23, 1924 in Franklin County to the late DeWitt and Grace Belle Perdue. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnnie William Perdue; brothers, Randolph Perdue and Otey Perdue; sister, Eva Horsley.

Surviving are her three children, Gary D. Perdue and her late daughter-in-law, Cindy H. Perdue, Phyllis A. Bende and husband Robert Bende, Jeffrey M. Perdue and wife Wanda W. Perdue; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Velma Kendrick and husband Jack.

Pauline was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She retired from Franklin County Public Schools. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted from Woodlawn Baptist Church 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, Building Fund, 30 Woodlawn Drive, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
