Who We Are


Our staff, which includes five Licensed Funeral Directors, consists of compassionate and skilled professionals dedicated to supporting your family during difficult times. We recognize the individuality of each family, along with their specific traditions and requests, and we are committed to honoring those wishes. Our approach to service is guided by the principle of treating others as we would wish to be treated.

Lee Flora

President / Manager

Lee serves our firm as President and Manager. He is a native of Boones Mill, a graduate of Franklin County High School, Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta, GA and National Foundation of Funeral Service School of Management, Chicago, IL. Lee also holds a Life and Health insurance license by the Bureau of Insurance. He has completed training by the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) and is a certified crematory operator.

He and his wife, the former Becky Parcell, live in Rocky Mount. Becky is the owner of Edgewood Cattle, a commercial beef operation. She also actively farms growing hay, soybeans and corn. They attend EastLake Community Church, Moneta. Lee serves on the Board of RenewaNation and is a member of the Gideons International. He is a former Board member of HopeTree Family Services (formerly Virginia Baptist Children's Home), Patrick and Henry Community College, Virginia Funeral Directors Association and Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia. He is a past president of the Blue Ridge Funeral Directors Association.

Lee upholds the ideal, based on the Golden Rule, "do unto others as you would have others do unto you".

Ben Clements

VP / Assistant Manager

Ben joined our firm in June of 2006 and serves as Vice President and Assistant Manager.

He is a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount and a graduate of Franklin County High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Management from Ferrum College where he was on the dean's list. Ben also earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Funeral Service with honors from John Tyler Community College in Richmond.

Professionally, Ben has completed training by the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) and is a certified crematory operator. He is also an advanced funeral planning insurance agent and a notary public.

He is a lifelong member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church where he serves in many capacities including the operation of the sound system during worship services and playing in the handbell choir.

Ben is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank one can achieve in Boy Scouts.

In his free time, Ben enjoys playing golf.

Mark Vest

Funeral Director

Mark joined our staff in April of 2010 as a Licensed Funeral Director. He is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service where he received his license in 1984.

Mark has completed training by the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) and is a certified crematory operator.

He has two children, Megan L. Vest and Jared L. Vest. He is also a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing. Mark makes his home in Wirtz.

Dylan Taylor

Funeral Director

Dylan joined our staff in February of 2017 and serves as Licensed Funeral Director and Manager for our Smith Mountain Lake Arrangement Center.

He is a 2018 graduate of Franklin County High School and 2021 graduate of John Tyler Community College in Richmond where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Funeral Service with honors.

Dylan is an advance funeral planning insurance agent, certified crematory operator and a notary public.

He lives in Rocky Mount with his wife Katelin and enjoys going fishing and hanging out with his friends.

Rachel White

Funeral Director

Rachel joined our staff in March of 2022. She has completed her internship and graduated from Brightpoint Community College in May of 2024 with a degree in funeral service.

She is also a graduate of Patrick Henry Community College where she earned an Associate of Applied Science in Business.

Rachel attends Franklin Heights Church and Pleasant Hill Church. She is married to her husband Stacy White and enjoys spending time with family and going to the gym.

Garmon Flora

Funeral Director

Garmon joined our staff in January of 2005 as a part-time Licensed Funeral Director. He is a lifelong resident of Franklin County and has over 50 years of experience in funeral service. He is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and was awarded a funeral service license in 1965.

Garmon is married to the former Stella Stanley and has two children and seven grandchildren. He is also a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and gardening. Garmon lives the golden rule.. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"..

Randy Sink

Funeral Assistant

Randy joined our staff in January of 2009 and serves as Manager for our Cremation Center. He brought with him almost 30 years experience assisting families in funeral service.

He has completed training by the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) and is a certified crematory operator. Randy is a Franklin County native and a graduate of Franklin County High School.

He is a former member of the Franklin County Retail Merchants Association. He has one daughter, Paige and makes his home in Burnt Chimney.

Brayden Smith

Funeral Service Intern

Brayden joined our staff in September of 2023 and is currently serving his internship to become a Licensed Funeral Director. He is a graduate of Franklin County High School and is enrolled at Brightpoint Community College pursuing a degree in funeral service.

Along with assisting with funerals and visitations he volunteers with Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital and works alongside his parents with Adell's Catering.

When not working, Brayden loves going on vacations and hanging out with his friends.

Sandra Ensor

Office Administrator

Sandra joined our staff in September of 2013 and serves as our Office Administrator. She has two children, Carey and Brian and lives in Boones Mill with her granddaughter, Brionna who is currently a student at Longwood University.

Sandra retired from Mountain View Memorial Park in Boones Mill as a Service Counselor. She has always been a helping hand to families who have experienced a loss.

Joyce Scott

Office Assistant

Joyce joined our staff in February of 2018 as Office Assistant and Hostess. She is married to Donnie Scott and has three daughters, Amanda, Jennifer and Donna.

Joyce retired from Ferrum College with many years of service. She is a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church where she serves in many capacities including choir director and pianist.

Joyce and Donnie make their home in Ferrum.

Carol Garlick

Office Assistant

Carol joined our staff in August of 2023 as Office Assistant and Hostess. She retired from medical records at Franklin Health and Rehab in Rocky Mount after 20 years of service.

Carol was married to the late Chester Garlick and has two daughters, Amy and Cynthia along with three grandchildren, Thomas, Virginia and Henry. She attends Prillaman Baptist Church where she is the Women's Mission director.

In her free time, Carol enjoys reading, baking, and visiting with family and friends.

Mimi Boone

Aftercare Director

Mimi Allman Boone joined our staff in February of 2009 as our Aftercare director. She is a native of Franklin County and resides in Rocky Mount with her husband Keith and son, Eric. They are also parents to Simon (his wife Jessica and children Laurel, Emma, Finley), Colby (his wife Jess) and Jack (his wife Kelsey).

Mimi is a 1978 graduate of Franklin County High School and a 1982 graduate of Radford University with a B.S. degree in Education. A former middle school teacher, she continues her love for people as our Aftercare Director. Her compassion and concern for others makes her effective in following up and caring for our families.

Mimi is also the receptionist at our Smith Mountain Lake Arrangement Center and offers personal grief support on Wednesdays.

Doug Brown

Funeral Attendant

Doug joined our staff in May of 1993 as Funeral Attendant. He and his wife Joanne have two sons, Bruce and Bradford and make their home in Rocky Mount.

Doug is a member of Franklin Heights Church and retired from DuPont with many years of service. He enjoys gardening, hunting and anything to do with being outside.

James Guilliams

Funeral Attendant

James joined our staff in August of 1996 as Funeral Attendant. He and his wife Lorene have two children, Doug and Michelle. They live in Rocky Mount and are members of Rocky Mount Christian Church.

James enjoys playing music and singing with “Hawpatch”, and a day on the golf course. He is retired from DuPont.

Bob Vreeland

Funeral Attendant

Bob joined our staff in March of 2014 as Funeral Attendant. He and his wife Debbie have three children, Robert, Rebekah and William.

He is a retired Police Captain with the Pequannock Township Police Department in Pompton Plains, NJ with many years of service. He and Debbie are members of Franklin Heights Church and make their home in the Waterfront Community of Smith Mountain Lake.

They enjoy traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren.

Byron Perdue

Funeral Attendant

Byron joined our staff in December of 2013 as Funeral Attendant. He and his wife Gloria live in Rocky Mount and love spending the winter months at their home in Florida.

Bryon can usually be found playing a round of golf or fishing. He is retired from DuPont with many years of service and considers working at the funeral home a ministry to his community.

He enjoys teaching Sunday School and serving in different capacities within his church.

Arthur Tolliver

Funeral Attendant

Arthur joined our staff in October of 2021 as Funeral Attendant and has over 25 years experience in funeral service.

He is married to Audrey Tolliver and has two sons, Edward Holland and LeKeith Tolliver who are both retired from the United States Marines.

He is a member and Deacon of Gethsemane Pentecostal Apostolic Church of Christ and is also currently employed with SleepSafe Beds and Assured Comforts in Rocky Mount.

Arthur is a fan of the New England Patriots and enjoys spending time with his family.

Joe Dillon

Funeral Attendant

Joe joined our staff in September of 2022 as Funeral Attendant. He is married to Anita Dillon for 42 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

Joe attended Bluefield University and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX with a Master of Divinity.

He served as Pastor of Harmony Baptist Church for seven years and Sandy Ridge Baptist Church for 34 years until retirement.

Joe enjoys working outdoors, farming, and raising cattle.

Anita Dillon

Hostess

Anita joined our staff in September of 2022 as Hostess. She is married to Joe Dillon for 42 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

Anita graduated Bluefield College with an Associate of Applied Science degree and also a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She served as Choir Director for 32 years at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church.

In her spare time, Anita enjoys crochet, puzzles, and reading.

Hostess

Joanne joined our staff in April 2018 as Hostess. Joanne and her husband Doug live in Rocky Mount and are members of Franklin Heights Church.

They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. Joanne can always find a day for shopping and loves tending to her flowers.

Lynn Meeks

Organist

Lynn joined our staff in April of 2020 as Organist. She has served as Director of Music Ministries at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church since 1989 and as a consecrated Diaconal Minister since 1996.

Lynn holds a Bachelor’s degree in music from Radford University and has also earned a certification in church music from the United Methodist Church.

She has two beautiful daughters, Emily and Katie and lives in Rocky Mount with her husband, Mike. Lynn and Mike are cat parents to two adventurous “fur babies” Boo and Marge.

Faye Bollings

Hairdresser

Faye has been a faithful member of our staff for many years as hairdresser. She was married to the late William Grady Bollings and has one son, Mark and one daughter, Lydia.

Faye is a longtime member of Beulah Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She always strives for perfection and has that special touch that our families appreciate.
